Each KIT includes the Pattern and the amount of Yarn required

The Summer Road Trip Shawl is a project that is perfect for taking along on your summer holiday, whether you are travelling on the road or enjoying a staycation in your backyard! This simple asymmetric bias shawl is fun to knit and takes advantage of assigned pooling to introduce some very enjoyable texture and colour that is easy to memorize. This shawl can be knit as either a one or two skein project and if you like you can add an additional optional pop of colour in your final border with a mini skein. This shawl shape is perfect for summer wear as the curve created by the simple shawl shaping hugs your shoulders and keeps you cozy on a cool evening.

Photos:  Sample photo is a one skein shawl worked in Juniper and has a border of Lodgepole Pine (not included as border mini is optional).

24 sts and 32 rows in 10cm/4”. Gauge is not crucial for this project but significant differences may change the size of your shawl.

Materials

Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Socknado (80% Fine Merino / 20% Nylon – 100gm/3.5oz, 350m/385yds). 1 (2) skeins.

Needle Size: One Circular needle size 3.5mm/US 4 24” (length according to preference) or size to achieve gauge.

Yarn Selection Hints:

This shawl is designed to be worked with assigned pooling. Assigned pooling requires a colourway that has a distinct (and preferably unique) colour section that stands out from the rest of the skein. For best results this colour section should strongly contrast with the rest of the skein. The length of the colour section should be at least 20cm (8”) but should take up no more than ¼ of the total circumference of the skein.
