CORMO by Lexington Woolies Tasmania (Louie & Lola)
*Exclusive to The Thoughtful Artisan in Canada.*
These are limited edition Cormo yarns, which have been grown and produced by Lexington Woolies Tasmania.
100% Cormo Wool.
Meterage is 365m / weight 100g.
Gauge:Â 23-26sts to 10cm using 3.25mm – 4mm needles.
They are worsted spun, non-superwash yarn bases, perfect for next to skin garments. The Cormo fleeces have a longer staple length than Merino yarns, resulting in reduced pilling for a stronger wearing yarn, despite having a typical Merino softness.
The yarns are beautifully plump yarn with great bounce and spring. A four ply yarn construction results in great stitch definition which is perfect for cable work!
Care: Cold hand wash only and dry flat in shade.
Hand dyed in small batches (by Louie & Lola Yarns) using professional quality acid dyes and heat set to ensure colours that will last.
Please ensure you buy enough yarn for your project at the same time, as colours between dye batches can vary. Even within the same dye batch skeins will vary – that is the beauty and nature of hand dyed yarn – every skein is unique and individual.
Every effort has been made to remove any excess dye from the yarn, however a little may remain, particularly with dark and rich colours. It is therefore recommended to gently hand wash your hand dyed projects on their own, in cold water, with wool wash or a mild detergent.
