SUMMARY:Sweater Studio - Beyond Sweater School
DESCRIPTION:At The Thoughtful Artisan we have a passion for community\, creativity\, and celebrating the joy of handmade!  This workshop is a progression from a structured learning experience to a more social\, collaborative project! So many of our Sweater School grads have voiced a desire to engage in a small group make-along that provides ongoing camaraderie and project accountability. That said\, experienced knitters who haven’t attended sweater school are welcome to join as well! \nRequirements: Since there will be no formal instructional component to this workshop series\, it is necessary for participants to have experience making a sweater. As the group progresses through the selected patterns\, the learning that takes place will be collaborative in nature. \n  \n\nPLEASE NOTE: Participants should come in to the store as early as possible to select their materials for the Storm Sweater or Humulus. This will ensure sweater quantities are in stock in time for the first class. \n\nClass Schedule: \n\nThursday\, September 18th (cast on night)\nThursday\, October 16th\nThursday\, November 20th\nThursday\, December 18th (festive celebration)\n\nTimes: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. \n***UPDATE: THIS EVENT HAS REACHED CAPACITY. This workshop series is for YOU! \nKnitters will will be guided through the fundamental steps for understanding sweater construction from pattern selection to fit and finishing! \nRequirements: It is necessary for participants to feel a degree of confidence with their knitting skills\, as garments require a variety of techniques. Understanding how to cast on\, make the most common stitches\, increase/decrease\, etc. will be essential for making the most out of each session. New concepts will be introduced along the way\, but you should be comfortable with all foundational skills and techniques. \nClass Schedule: \n\n\n\nTuesday\, September 23rd\n*Wednesday\, October 1st (*note one time switch)\nTuesday\, October 21st\nTuesday\, November 11th\nTuesday\, December 2nd\n\n\n\n  \nTimes: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. \n
